London paintings
After taking part in the recent Battersea Affordable Art Fair, I decided to create a small series of London paintings. There are so many areas within London to gain inspiration from. From the skyscrapers in the built up tourist areas, to the back street flower markets and quirky residential areas. I had no problem in selecting the places I wanted to portray.
It was great to paint both urban landscapes that are up close and on street level, as well as painting London’s skyline and buildings that you can appreciate when you take a step back. I’ve chosen a few of my favourites including Columbia Road Flower Market, London Thames, Liberty London and Portobello Road.
