Neon Edge Still lifes

Last summer I had some wood left over from a commission that wasn’t my regular standard size. I decided I could use the wood to paint some fun, experimental pieces and just create for myself. I wanted to start playing around with floral and fruit compositions by painting made up still life scenes and using bold patterns. After finishing each piece I painted the edges with neon paint which in turn lit up the canvases with a glowing edge when placed on a wall. I am so pleased with how these came out that I’ve since painted 9 more and all of them have sold out. Having never been my intention to paint these pieces to sell, it has been so unexpected and joyous to have them be so popular.
