Waterlillies
Having had fun interpreting Van Goghs sunflower painting last year, I knew I needed that excitement and challenge again, so I flipped through my art books and came across the beautiful waterlily paintings of Monet. I knew I just had to paint my own with a full spring/summer colour palette and get it out of my system. In order to do this I needed some peace, space and time to just sit and create them, so I picked up the decorating brushes and got my new studio to a place where I felt comfortable to create again.
The enjoyment I got from planing out all of the details, colours and composition for this collection just felt right. These original paintings are the product of time spent slowing down and enjoying painting for me again. If you’d like any information about them or more photos then just get in touch, it feels so good to just share what I’ve been doing :)
